Gardening

We use gardening as a vehicle for encouraging children to make good food choices, augmenting classroom studies with experiential learning, building a love of nature, stimulating social interaction, facilitating cultural exchange, and more. All About Me

Hello, my name is JoanTaylor. I am a fourth grade teacher at Fruitdale High School. Our school has students from Kindergarten through 12th grade on campus. We are a very small school with about 490 students.
This past year I had 18 students. The last of January was a tragic time for our class.. We lost two of our students in a house fire. This was the first time such a terrible event happened in my 34 years of teaching.
We have two teachers in each elementary grade. I teach Reading, Math, and Alabama History.
I hope to retire from Fruitdale High School.
